Tasting Alacati is a social gathering platform for those who enjoy life to the fullest.

Tasting Alacati takes place for three days under the great hospitality of local enterprises located inside the village and surroundings of Alacati, carrying on the beauty of Aegean peninsula.

Tasting Alacati will take place on 26-27-28 April 2019 for the second time after great success in May 2018, featuring the unique life gustos of Alacati.

MISSION

We aim to bring together everyone who loves to explore new tastes of nature and food. Our objective is to bring together the gastronomy opinion leaders, world class chefs, local producers, local people and press to form a life time experience in Alacati.

We want to contribute to the tourism of the country by featuring natural beauty of the region and bringing forward the local enterprises which bring to life the great tastes of the region.

We deeply respect and value the local producers. We would like to contribute to the hardwork of local producers and farmers that grow fresh vegatables and fruits.

In summary, we aim to help Aegean local products and producers to establish their mark on gastronomy and be recognised world wide.

(Tarhana or trahana is dried food ingredient based on a fermented mixture of grain and yoghurt or fermented milk found in the cuisines of Southeast Europe and Middle East. Dry tarhana has a texture of coarse, uneven crumbs, and it is usually made into a thick soup with water, stock, or milk.)

A small talk is taking place with Vedat Ozan about the scents and the taste of food accompanied by wine and small bites. M. Vedat Ozan is Turkish perfume and fragrance expert and a photographer. He graduated from Kadikoy Anatolian High School in 1978. He got his college degree from Boğaziçi University in 1980. After his photography training with IFSAK, he worked as a project coordinator and a photography teacher. He is the author of the book: Fragrance.
